China’s Tea Export Briefing in March 2026.

According to China Customs, in March 2026, China exported 32,000 tons of tea, down 8.72% year-on-year but up 12.10% month-on-month; export value stood at $119 million, a decrease of 1.27% year-on-year but an increase of 4.80% month-on-month; and the average export price was $3.72 per kilogram, up 8.16% year-on-year yet down 6.51% month-on-month. 

For the first quarter of 2026, total tea exports reached 100,200 tons, a slight year-on-year drop of 0.72%, while export value rose by 10.33% to $386 million, pushing the average export price up 11.14% year-on-year to $3.85 per kilogram.
