China’s Tea Export Briefing in May 2026.

According to China Customs data:In May 2026, China exported 29,400 tons of tea, down 14.32% year-on-year and 12.73% month-on-month. Export value stood at US$113 million, decreasing by 9.04% year-on-year and 13.49% month-on-month. The average export price was US$3.84 per kilogram, up 6.17% year-on-year but edging down 0.87% from April.

Over the January toMay period, total tea exports reached 163,300 tons, a 3.01% decline compared to the same period last year. Export revenue totaled US$629 million, marking a 6.19% increase year-on-year. The average export price came in at US$3.85 per kilogram, rising 9.49% from a year earlier.
