China’s Tea Export Briefing in June 2025

According to data from China Customs: In June 2025, China’s tea export volume reached 32.3 thousand tons, representing a year-on-year increase of 16.69% but a month-on-month decrease of 5.85%. The export value amounted to USD 123 million, reflecting a year-on-year growth of 11.35% and a month-on-month decline of 0.96%. The average export price stood at USD 3.80 per kilogram, down by 4.58% year-on-year but up by 5.20% month-on-month.

In the first half of 2025, China’s total tea export volume reached 200.7 thousand tons, marking a year-on-year increase of 16.64%. The total export value was USD 715 million, up by 9.14% compared to the same period last year. The average export price was USD 3.56 per kilogram, down by 6.43% year-on-year.
