The 3rd World Jasmine Convention opened in Nanning, Guangxi

On September 12^th, the 3^rd World Jasmine Convention and the 12^th National Jasmine Tea Trade Fair，2021 China (Hengzhou) Jasmine Culture Festival which is hosted by China Tea Marketing Association, Department of Agriculture and Rural Affairs of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, China-ASEAN Expo Secretariat, and Nanning Municipal People’s Government, was held in Nanning city, Guangxi. More than 500 guests participated in the event.

This convention is one of the important activities of the 18^th China-ASEAN Expo. It is an international event for the world’s jasmine tea industry to participate in “Share new opportunities and new land-sea routes, and jointly build a China-ASEAN community with a shared future”.

Hengzhou is the hometown of jasmine. Its jasmine production accounts for 80% of the country’s and 60% of the world’s total production. In 2020, the planting area of jasmine in Hengzhou is 120,000 mu, with an annual output of 95,000 tons of fresh flowers and 278,000 tons of jasmine tea
