Runamok Maple Adds Tea to Maple Syrup<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Fairfax, Vermont-based introduced Jasmine Tea Infused maple syrup with hints of jasmine flowers and sweet honeysuckle. This is the company\u2019s 13th<\/sup> product in its maple syrup collection.<\/p>\n

The maple syrup\u2019s delicate floral sweetness can enhance many dishes, such as crepes, pancakes, oatmeal and yogurt, as well as beverages like smoothies and iced teas.<\/p>\n

The certified organic maple syrup is harvested from maple trees on Mount Mansfield\u2019s northwestern slope.<\/p>\n

Founded by Eric and Laura Sorkin about two years ago, Runamok Maple\u2019s business has grown steadily as it redefines maple syrup with its 13 infused, smoked and barrel-aged maple syrups. A few of the company\u2019s other unique maple syrup flavors are: Cinnamon + Vanilla Infused Bourbon Barrel-Aged, and Smoked with Pecan Wood.<\/p>\n

Rishi Tea & Botanicals Launches Golden Triangle Black<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Milwaukee, Wisconsin-based debuted its Golden Triangle Black iced tea for food service. It is available in 3-gallon and 1-gallon formats.<\/p>\n

The tea is a blend of Yunnan Dianhong, Burmese black tea and sun-dried and roasted Thai tea, resulting in flavor that the company describes as \u201cScotch-like,\u201d only accentuated by melting ice in a glass.<\/p>\n

The tea was inspired by the Kingdom of Thailand\u2019s effort to create sustainable income for the inhabitants of the country\u2019s poverty and drug ridden Golden Triangle region, according to a company press release. The region also has wild tea forests that are hybridizing with decades-old tea plants imported from Assam, India. Rishi worked with Golden Triangle residents on specialized plucking and processing techniques.<\/p>\n

The tea\u2019s distinctive flavor is attributable to its multi-staged processing. The tea leaves are harvested and then naturally ferment through sun-drying and several months of aging. Then, it is cut, graded and roasted to achieve a \u201crich body and smooth toasted sweetness.\u201d<\/p>\n

Golden Triangle Black iced tea is now Rishi\u2019s new flagship all black iced tea designated for foodservice.<\/p>\n
