The Welches, Oregon-based company produces organic herbal teas, lip balm, hand sanitizer and salve.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/s25491.pcdn.co\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/09\/The-Milk-Ladys-tea.jpg\" class=\"aligncenter\">  The Milk Lady\u2019s blend (Photo credit: MountainMels.com)    <\/p>\n<p>The three teas were formulated and marketed for the purposes of increasing milk flow in nursing mothers and alleviating digestive discomfort in babies. <\/p>\n<p><em>Salmonella<\/em> is an organism that can potentially cause serious and even fatal infections in children, the elderly and those with weak immune systems, says the FDA. Common symptoms in healthy people who are infected with <em>Salmonella<\/em> are: a fever, diarrhea (which may contain blood), nausea, vomiting and abdominal pain. In some cases, a <em>Salmonella<\/em> infection can infiltrate the bloodstream and produce arterial infections, endocarditis and arthritis. <\/p>\n<p>   Advertisement    <\/p>\n<p>As of yet, no illnesses incurred by the teas have been reported.<\/p>\n<p>The recalled teas are: <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>the <strong>Milk Lady\u2019s Herbal Tea Blend<\/strong>, its UPC number is 7 99632 05658 4 and the recalled batch\u2019s lot number is # ML6271950;<\/li>\n<li>the <strong>Peaceful Baby Herbal Tea Blend<\/strong>, which has UPC number 7 99632 05656 0 and the recalled batch\u2019s lot number is #PB781950;<\/li>\n<li>and the <strong>Diges-Teas Herbal Tea Blend<\/strong>, with UPC number 7 99632 05665 2 from batch lot number #DT7619100.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The teas were recalled because they contain recalled fennel seed that was supplied by Mountain Rose Herbs in Oregon. Mountain Mel\u2019s halted production and distribution of the teas containing this fennel seed on July 20, 2019.<\/p>\n<p>The three teas were distributed across the United States and also sold on Mountain Mel\u2019s website and on Amazon.
