Unilever sell its global tea business

On November 18th, Unilever announced the sale of its global tea business ekaterra to Capital Partners Fund CVC for EUR 4.5 billion. The transaction is expected to be completed in the second half of 2022.

Unilever’s tea division is one of the world’s largest tea beverage manufacturers, with a total of 34 tea brands, including Lipton, Pure Leaf, and the high-end tea brand T2, Herbal tea brand Pukka and so on. The tea business had revenue of 2 billion euros last year.
