The Beijing International Tea Expo 2026 successfully concluded at the Beijing Exhibition Center from May 22 to 25. The event adopted a distinctive “One Exhibition, Two Conferences” framework, co-hosted with the Xicheng District People’s Government of Beijing Municipality under the 2026 Beijing Maliandao International Tea Culture Exchange Conference, and partnering with the People’s Government of Hezhou City, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region—the Guest City of Honor—for the 2026 Hezhou Tea Publicity and Promotion Conference.

Drawing over 300 renowned brand enterprises from 22 major tea-producing regions across China, the expo served as a comprehensive showcase for the industry. Exhibits spanned the full spectrum of tea culture, featuring the six canonical tea categories—green, black, oolong, white, yellow, and dark tea—alongside emerging segments such as new-style tea drinks, cultural and creative products, tea ware, packaging, and deep-processed derivatives.

The exhibitor profile strategically balanced industry titans with rising regional players. Participants included leading national enterprises, time-honored Chinese brands, distinctive small and medium-sized tea businesses, and innovative new tea drink labels. Frontline major brands accounted for over 90% of participants, joined by 11 supply and marketing cooperatives at provincial, municipal and county levels. The event effectively highlighted the latest achievements in China’s tea industry regarding standardization, branding, and innovation, establishing a premier national platform for industry production, marketing, and trade.

Leveraging Beijing’s robust consumer market and industry influence, the expo precisely catered to both professional procurement and mass consumption demands. The venue maintained steady high visitor flow and a vibrant trading atmosphere throughout the four-day event. Total attendance surpassed 60,000 visits, with professional buyers accounting for 28% of attendees, encompassing distributors, agents, supermarket purchasers, catering operators, cultural tourism enterprises, and cross-border traders.

Focusing on stimulating consumption, the expo unlocked huge market potential through diverse event formats. On-site retail sales reached nearly RMB 50 million (approx. USD 7 million), underscoring the event’s strong driving effect on the tea consumer market.
