Tea is one of the three major beverages in the world, with more than 60 tea producing countries and regions as well as a population of more than 2 billion tea drinkers. In December 2019, the United Nations General Assembly announced that May 21st of each year will be designated as “International Tea Day” to commend the economic, social and cultural values of tea and promote the sustainable development of global agriculture. During the “International Tea Day” this year, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs of China, the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations and the Peoples’ government of Zhejiang Province carried out a series of publicity and promotion activities through the Internet under the theme of “Tea and the World, Taste and Enjoy Together “.
